NCA recognized in national 2022 "SDM 100 Report"
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For the eleventh consecutive year, NCA has been named one of the 100 largest security providers in the 2022 “SDM 100 Report,” an exclusive of SDM Magazine. The national ranking recognizes NCA as a top security dealer within the industry according to its RMR – the overall value of the company according to its subscribers, services provided, and security systems.
National Certified Alarms, Inc. (NCA) has served Nashville, Tenn., and surrounding communities for more than 20 years by providing affordable alarm monitoring services starting at $9.95 a month.
The “SDM 100 Report” was launched in 1991 to account for the size of the market captured by the 100 largest security providers in North America. The security providers are also included in the “SDM 100 Directory,” a resource available for purchase that includes contact information, website URLs, branch office locations, product buyer names, and installation data.
SDM is a B2B brand magazine and website providing management and technical professionals with comprehensive coverage of the security industry in North America. Its specialties include security, security industry news, smart home technology, and more. In addition, SDM offers a wide scope of exclusive columns including Security & The Law, 5-Minute Tech Quiz, Security NetWorkings, Sales Stars, and Marketing Madmen, among others.
According to an SDM article published shortly after the rankings were announced, security providers named in the 2022 report faced a number of challenges in 2021, especially supply chain issues and consequent rising costs.
“Of course, supply chain issues are just one fallout from the impact of COVID-19,” the article stated. “ … lingering COVID-19 issues were clearly still being felt by many of the top security dealers in 2021. And the changes it has wrought to both home and work life are definitely impacting the security industry, from inflation to labor shortages to changes in office space occupancies and new technology demands.”
At the same time, the article reported that the “SDM 100” dealers grew in several key areas, collectively bringing in more than $702 million in RMR in 2021 – a 6% increase from 2020 – despite an overall total subscriber drop of 4%.
