NCA Alarms Supports the Arts & Business Council’s Artist Relief Fund
NASHVILLE, TN 4/27/2020 — The Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville has announced a new fund to support local artists and musicians affected by the March 3rd tornado as well as the COVID-19 epidemic.
The Greater Nashville Artist Relief Fund will provide financial assistance to self-employed artists and those employed or contracted with nonprofit arts and culture organizations. These artists may request up to $500 of compensation for lost work.
The fund has been supported through the Arts & Business Council’s operating account as well as generous support from local businesses and organizations. NCA Alarms is proud to support the Greater Nashville Artist Relief Fund along with Ingram Charities, Concord, WC Dillon, and Go West Creative.
Commercial artists such as graphic designers, social media content creators, and others that derive a large portion of their income from advertising work are not eligible. Those with other full-time work that has not been disrupted are also not eligible. The Greater Nashville Artist Relief Fund has been created to support individuals that create a majority of their income with their art.
The fund will continue into the future to help cover unexpected expenses resulting from career-threatening events such as theft, fire, health emergencies, or other natural disasters.
Applications for the Greater Nashville Artist Relief Fund will open at 9:00 AM Central Time on Monday, April 27. Artists can apply for funding here.
